Will Niners' Kaepernick pan out and become fantasy gold?

With Laurent Robinson hitting the injured reserve in Jacksonville, Justin Blackmon and Cecil Shorts become a duo to watch.

Blackmon caught 13 passes for 236 yards and a touchdown last week against the Texans while Shorts has been averaging 89.5 yards per game over the last four games. It won’t help matters that Chad Henne will be the man delivering the ball to them, but still Blackmon was a high draft pick and with Maurice Jones-Drew out someone has to be the focal point of the Jags’ offense.

Blackmon is owned in 56 percent of Yahoo! leagues, but that has increased by 33 percent this week. Meanwhile, Shorts isn’t far behind with a 15 percent increase in ownership this week to bring him to 57 percent ownership.

It’s not guaranteed that either will continue to produce at their current levels with Henne, but with a weak crop of receivers on most waiver wires they may be worth a shot.
