Salem 8, Revere 4: Sophomore Emily Coelho and junior Kristina LeBlanc each had a pair of goals as the Witches improve to 2-0. Alexa Gilbert, Lidia Grasberger, Xhulia Kanani and Thiline Peperkamp also had goals, while Danielle Pynn had 10 saves for the Witches, which didn’t allow any goals in the second half.
Waring 16, Boston Trinity Academy 4: Ted Lyman had seven assists and four goals to lead Waring (1-1).
Andover 5, Masconomet 0: Masco dropped to 0-2 despite a strong effort from Danielle Dunn and Lexi Palumbo.
Malden 5, Salem 0: Ari Gaffney and Kim Barzola competed well for Salem (0-2).
Bishop Fenwick 93, Arlington Catholic 43: Senior Rose Fantozzi placed first in the long jump, 100 meter dash and was a member of the winning 4x100 relay team as the Crusaders improved to 3-0 on the season. Maggie Lepley doubled in the javelin and shot, while freshman Colleen Corcoran won the high jump and was second in the dash. Carolyn Claveau was first in the discus and second in the high jump.
Swampscott 127, Salem 28: Melinda Wilson doubled in the shot and discus as the Big Blue got the victory yesterday. Haley Irwin was first in both the long jump and triple jump and Alison Carr won the mile and high jump.
For the Witches (1-1), senior Joy Lima took the 100 and 200, which qualified her for states in both events. Junior Rebecca Beaulieau won the javelin (80-7). and set a new school record. BOYS TRACK
Bishop Fenwick 88, Arlington Catholic 48: Nick Tambini (high hurdles, 400 hurdles) and Patrick Corcoran (shot, discus) each took first in their respective events to help the Crusaders to their third win of the season. Charlie Maistrellis was first in the long jump and second in the 200, Andrew Carlin took the high jump and finished second in the shot and Myles Connor was first in the javelin and second in the high jump.
