Football Friday: Games to watch and area leaders for Week 6

(Continued)

---

St. John’s Prep (3-2) at Catholic Memorial (1-3), tonight at 7 p.m.: The Knights come in having lost three in a row, but they've all been agaisnt solid competition in St. John’s Shrewsbury, Brockton and Xaverian. The Eagles will need to continue to improve on defense and get good production for backs Cody Harwood and Dillon Preston to earn a win in an always hostile environment and continue their march to the Division 1 North playoffs.

---

Marblehead (5-0) at Beverly (1-3), tomorrow at 2 p.m.: The Panthers enjoyed a bye week to correct the things that ailed them in a surprising setback to Gloucester, and Marblehead is also looking to improve after some sloppy second halves. Beverly is always one of the better defenses against spread offenses, and the Panthers certainly don’t want to drop to 1-4; expect them to put it all out there trying to knock the Magicians from the ranks of the unbeaten. Will it be enough?
