Friday's area roundup: White, Pelletier lead Masco past Manchester Essex

Masconomet 7, Manchester Essex 1: Kaleigh White led the scoring with three goals and one assist to keep her Chieftain team undefeated at 9-0-3. Courtney Bouchard and Taylor Teed netted a goal and two assists, Abby Reblin score one and assisted on another and Julia O’Reily netted a single marker. Lucie Farnham and Kate Kitsakos also had assists, and freshman Katie Pelletier made 14 saves.

Ipswich 4, Saugus 0: Senior Katie Monahan netted the hat trick, while senior Emily Folan scored the other goal as the Tigers move to 5-3-5. Monahan and Folan also recorded assists along with Kaitlin Robinson. Junior Jackie Gagnon and sophomore Sarah Wallis also stood out in the win.

Danvers 8, Lynn English 0: Delaney Zecha scored three goals, Meaghan McKenna, Katherine Kowalski, Shannon Pohle, Allie Zunick and Kylie Plaza netted single markers for the Falcons (8-4-1). Zecha, Kowlaski and Nicole Belanger played well in the shutout.

Foxboro 5, Salem Academy 1: Channelle Camah scored the Navigators’ (4-4-2) lone goal.

Hamilton-Wenham 1, Lynnfield 1: Caroline Gribbell scored at the 70 minute mark to tie things up for the Generals (8-3-1). Suz Rose played the entire game at midfield and Carolyn Cook helped slow down Lynnfield’s attack, while H-W earned the point needed to qualify for the tourney.

Salem 1, Marblehead 0: Junior Deema Hijleh scored 10 minutes into the second half off an assist from Tayla O’Leary. Freshman Sydney Rocheville recorded her third shutout, making four saves for the Witches (7-5-1).

Peabody 1, Swampscott 0: Bryanna Gaynor scored off a Madison Doherty assist as the Tanners improve to 8-1-2 overall. Peabody saw strong defensive play from Katrina Silva, Alex Lomasney and keeper Cailtin Lodi, and also qualified for the tourney.

BOYS SOCCER

Danvers 3, Lynn English 1: Senior captain and sweeper Matt Kidney notched his first-ever varsity goal as Danvers improves to 7-1-5. Jackson McPherson and Nikolay Sakhin each recorded goals, while Mark McCarthy and Kayo Silva added assists. Center midfielder Zach Noring played outstanding and shutdown English’s top player, while Danvers held the Bulldogs to just three shots.

Masconomet 3, Manchester Essex 0: Adam Grammer, Jack Heintzelman and P.J. Criscione did the scoring for the Chieftains (12-1-1). Shane Collins added an assist in Masco’s 12th consecutive shutout in the Cape Ann League.

Peabody 3, Swampscott 0: Kyle Gilbert recorded two goals, while Jake Silva added the other as the Tanners improve to 8-0-4 on the season. Ben Manoogian assisted on two goals and Connor Wolff on another. Keeper Rob Smith earned his seventh shutout of the season and Bobby Caproni and Ben Britton were strong on defense.

Waring 7, Chapel Hill 0: Nick Wigglesworth netted a hat trick, Aiden Wood scored two, while Kyle Patrick and Alex Mitchell each added a goal for Waring (7-0-1).

Marblehead 4, Salem 2: Matt Muse and Simon Barats handled the scoring for the Witches (1-7-2), while Marblehead improves to 3-5-2.

Foxboro 3, Salem Academy 0: The Navigators (2-5-2) saw strong play from both senior captains Sal Martinez and David Ambrose.

Hamilton-Wenham 3, Lynnfield 1: Senior Russell Gregorian scored all of H-W’s goals to help his team improve to 5-2-5 overall. Alex Berteau, Aiden Prior and Tommy Dowd assisted on the goals, Drew Gallant was strong at center midfield and Frankie Bucco played well in the back.

VOLLEYBALL

Bishop Fenwick 3, Lynnfield 0: The Chieftains (11-1) swept in straight sets 25-16, 25-17, 25-8. Kate Lipka had 14 kills, Gianna Pizzano recorded eight kills, Jen Crovo had seven kills and Tessa McLaughlin added 27 assists.

Peabody 3, Marblehead 0: The Tanners improve to 14-0 on the season behind Carolyn Scacchi’s nine kills, three aces and two blocks. Sara Hosman added 12 assists and two aces, Courtney Bua had three kills and two aces and Olivia Summit added eight kills and two blocks.

Maeve Daley recorded five kills, Michaela LeBlanc had 10 digs and Hannah Cohen finished with eight digs for the Magicians.

Winthrop 3, Danvers 1: Julia McNulty had 22 serves with no errors and four kills, freshman middle hitter Holly Tobin had six block and six kills, while freshman setter Shannon Veilleux added 11 assists and six digs for the Falcons (0-12).

Pingree 3, Bancroft 2: The Highlanders (4-7) won in five games, 17-25, 25-6, 25-22, 23-25, 15-6. Karolyn Urena served 10 points in a row. Setter Haley Sabino had 10 assists and Hanna Stasiuk added 12 kills on the day.

Lynn Classical 3, Swampscott 2: The Big Blue fell 27-25, 22-25, 25-23, 16-25 and 11-15 in the deciding set. Outside hitter Gina Asipenko had 18 kills and six aces, Louisy Cim added 10 kills and Faye Liakopoulos recorded 28 assists.

FIELD HOCKEY

Peabody 0, Marblehead 0: Senior Noelle Koch and Cali Armstrong had strong games for the Tanners (4-7-1). Charlotte Moriarty, Molly Ackerman and Eliza Fitzgerald stood out for the Magicians (9-4-1).

Swampscott 1, Gloucester 1: Amy Aylward scored on assist from Tori Thistle to help the Big Blue (8-2-2) qualify for the tourney. Angela Videtta was strong on defense, as was Nora Walker and Tessa Bean.

Pingree 3, Wheeler 1: Katie Shreenan (assist) one goal, Eliza Mead scored a goal and assisted on two, while Jill Witwicki had the other score for the Highlanders (6-4-1).

Danvers 4, Revere 0: Rachel Trocci, Katherine Leonard and Kelly Condon did the scoring for the Falcons (9-3-1). Amanda Wood played well on defense, Nicole Kamens, Anna O’Neill and Leonard recorded assists.
