Senior captain Nicole Woods of Beverly High has been named the Most Valuable Player for field hockey in the Northeastern Conference, which named its annual All-Conference and all-star teams.
The Louisville-bound Woods, who guided her team to their sixth consecutive NEC championship and into the Division 1 North semifinals, was one of three Panthers chosen as All-Conference selections. Joining her were MaryCate Flaherty and Kate Silvestri.
Danvers also had three All-Conference selections in Nicole Kamens, Katherine Leonard and Nicole Papamechail.
Second place finisher Swampscott was represented by Tori Thistle and Nora Walker on the All-Conference team. In addition, Joanna Coleman of Salem, Noelle Koch of Peabody, Eliza Fitzgerald of Marblehead and Julia Lamoreaux were also selected.
On the NEC all-star team, Beverly placed Amanda Marshall, Marissa Laganis and Felicity Otterbein. Danvers saw Lauren Johnson and Raquel Leslie picked, while Tessa Beane and Danielle Mayblyum were Swampscott honorees. Alexa Gilbert of Salem, Jillian Kerwin of Peabody, Hannah Fobert of Marblehead, Autumn Zubricki of Gloucester and Logan DiCarlo of Revere rounded out the squad.
