The rain followed the Beverly Lou Tompkins Baseball team down 128 to Bedford, but the precipitation only lasted a short time before clearing up. Beverly dampened Bedford’s mood, however, by leaving town with an 11-0 victory.
Dan Cashman fired a complete-game, three-hitter with nine strikeouts and two walks, and Andy Brown sparked the offense with two hits, two RBI, and two runs.
Eric Messina added two hits and two RBI while Matt Hamor produced two hits, two runs, and an RBI.
Beverly sent 11 batters to the plate and scored six times in the fourth inning to take control. Beverly moved to 5-0 with the win.
Beverly hosts Billerica tomorrow night at Cooney Field (7 p.m.). Little League and Babe Ruth players from Salem and Beverly are invited to attend with free hot dogs and soda available for all Little League and Babe Ruth players.

Jenna Gagnon scored 22 points to lead Ipswich to a 53-27 win over Danvers last night. Devon Walsh scored 10 points to power the Falcons.
Rachel Goodwin (12) and Katherine Lawless (9) each played well to lift Lynnfield to a narrow 46-41 win over Gloucester. Sabrina Maciel scored 15 for the Fishermen and Jules Costanzo contributed 11.
Manchester Essex defeated Hamilton-Wenham, 39-22, behind eight points apiece from Sydney Christopher and Kara Hersey. Tori Vivenzio hit double figures for Hamilton-Wenham with 11.
Meghan Collins and Amy Fogarty each scored 12 points to lead Masconomet to a 45-12 win over Beverly in the night cap.

Old Orchard Beach 6, North Shore 5: The Raging Tide walked off to send the Navs (7-4) to their third straight loss. Tim Hendricks (3 for 5) drove in the tying run in the eighth. John Hennessey had a two-run triple while Devin Carter and Rob Cashel each had two hits. Ryan Grant threw 2 1/3 scoreless innings.
