Navigators even out record with win over Pittsfield

The North Shore Navigators got back in the win column last night, edging out the Pittsfield Suns 7-5.

Mat Snider picked up the win in his one inning of work. Snider allowed two hits, two runs and struck out two batters. Starter Tyler Gauthier pitched six innings and allowed no earned runs, five hits and one walk while striking out four.

Catcher Kyle Devin (Lynn) was solid at the plate going 2-for-4 on the night, as he drove in and scored a run. Tim Hendricks also finished 2-for-4, while Justin Peluso and Alex Markakis each drove in a run.


Beverly 10, Winthrop 2: Anthony D’Orio (2-for-3), Andy Brown (2-for-3) and Craig Hall (2-for-4) each had a pair of RBI in yesterday’s win for Beverly (9-1). Matty Hamor finished 3-for-3 with a run scored and a RBI, while Chris Carbone gave up five hits on the mound.
