Danvers Senior Babe Ruth falls to Pentucket

Pentucket 4, Danvers 1: Chris Aquaro pitched six innings for Danvers (0-3), allowing just two earned runs on two hits while striking out nine. Jordan Renwand broke up the Pentucket no-hit bid in the sixth inning and scored Danvers’ only run on a Dom DeBernardo double.


Action from Tuesday night’s games:

Bishop Fenwick 36, Danvers 27: Colleen Corcoran poured in 14 points while Mikayla Porcaro and Steph Bona both had six as the Crusaders prevailed. Ellena Clifford scored 11 points to lead Danvers, which got four apiece from Shannon Quinlivan and Kara Connors.

Hamilton-Wenham 27, Wakefield 25: Molly Eager’s 11 points paced the Generals to victory. Kelsey Lyons (7 points) also contributed to the win. Gabby Jolly finished with a team-high six points for Wakefield.

Manchester Essex 40, Peabody 31: Sydney Christopher had 14 points while Melissa Gray added 13 to pace the Tanners to victory. Rachel Manoogian also had a strong game with seven points. Fraley Morton (9 points) and Sabrina Pallazola (8) led the Hornets.

Masconomet 31, Lynnfield 22: Nicole Tapparo had a game-high 15 points while Meghan Collins (5 points), Stephanie Mini (4) and Amy Fogarty (4) sparked a balanced Masconomet attack. For Lynnfield, Toni DiCesare’s nine points led the way.
