FOOTBALL

The 12th annual Beverly Panthers Football Youth Skills Clinic will be held at Beverly High School the week of July 7-11. The clinic is for players in the 2nd grade through 7th grade and is open to all on the North Shore. The emphasis is for all participants to learn skills for each position (offense/defense). Each day will conclude with games of flag football organized by age. No previous experience or equipment is necessary. Cost is $95, with registration taking place through the Beverly Parks and Recreation Department. Registration forms can be obtained through the Beverly Parks and Recreation Department or by calling Coach Dan Bauer (781) 820-1074.

GOLF

The 6th annual BHS Basketball Golf Tourney will be held on Monday, July 28 at the Ipswich Country Club. It’s the biggest fundraiser of the year for the team with sponsorship opportunities that include; Bogie ($50), Par ($100), Birdie ($125) and Hole-in-One ($675).

COACHING VACANCIES

Salem High School is looking for both a head swim team coach and an a JV volleyball coach. Duties of both positions include safety of athletes, writing and supervising workouts for various events, presence at all meets and fundraising. The swimming season runs from late November to February and the salary range is between $2,990-$3,736. The volleyball season runs from late August to late October and the salary range is $1,637-$2,207. Previous coaching experience is required for both positions. BOOK SIGNINGS

Sean Stellato, an NFL Player Agent from Peabody, is hosting a gala at the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem on Friday, July 11 from 6-11 p.m. to celebrate the release of his new book “No Backing Down: The Story of the 1994 Salem High Football Team.” Athletes from the NFL and NBA, former Olympians and TV personalities will be on hand.
