IAABO banquet to honor locals

The IAABO Board 130 Awards Banquet will be held tonight at Danversport Yacht Club, and several local basketball players and officials will be honored.

St. John's Prep senior forward Steve Haladyna will receive the Middleton Award (Boys Player of the Year), Waring School senior guard Ally Colarusso will get the Alley Award (Girls Player of the Year), and Pingree's Isaac Carp will be honored with the Courage Award. Carp, a senior guard who is diabetic, scored his 1,000th career point this year.

Beverly's Hal Geary will also receive the Tallon Award as outgoing president, while Salem's Bob Callahan will take home the Cook Award for service to Board 130.
