Peabody 17, Saugus 2: Senior third baseman George Tsonis was unstoppable at the plate for the Tanners (12-1), going 3-for-3 with two home runs, including a grand slam and finished with six RBI as Peabody won its 11th straight while snapping Saugus’ seven game win streak. Sophomore Mike Petrosino finished 3-for-4 with four runs scored and senior catcher Brandon Polignone went 3-for-3 with two runs scored. Brandon Butcher picked up the win on the hill.
Revere 8, Swampscott 2: The Big Blue (5-7) saw their three game win streak broken at home by the Patriots. Trevor Massey went 2-for-3 and drove in a run for Swampscott, which was hampered by three errors and runners left on base.
Beverly 8, Marblehead 5: Senior Alex Toomey went 2-for-4 and hit a 2-run homer as the Panthers (8-4) shook off a Marblehead rally late. The Magicians (4-8) tied it 4-4 before Beverly pulled back ahead and Eric Messina threw two clutch innings to earn the save. Kevin Cuneo was 2-for-4 and scored three runs for Beverly and junior Craig Hall laid down a nice suicide squeeze.
Bishop Fenwick 15, Austin Prep 14: The Crusaders move to 10-2 overall as Tommy Parsons got the win, allowing three unearned runs. Gianni Esposito had a two-run homer in the first and Robbie Carillo finished 4-for-4 in the win.
Ipswich 20, Georgetown 9: Senior captain Natalie Soliozy scored four goals and handed out six assists to help the Tigers hike their record to 8-2. Fellow captain Brigid O’Flynn had scored three goals and added two assists and Maddie Howe contributed a strong effort on defense.
Masconomet 13, Triton 3: The Chieftains (8-4) finished the week with a win as Amy Arnold scored four times and Rachel Rogal played a strong all-around game that included two goals and an assist. Sammy Dindo scooped up the majority of ground balls and had two assists and Becca Phillips added two goals and two assists.
Bishop Fenwick 13, Archbishop Williams 8: Grace Celona led all scorers with six goals and three assists as the Crusaders improve to 8-5 overall. Tess McLaughlin finished with three goals and two assists, Anna Moulton had a pair and Caroline Crawford and Annette Ruggiero each had a goal. Nicole Votta played an excellent game in goal with seven saves.
Pingree 17, Bancroft 3: Sophomore Carter Rossano had five assists and scored three goals to help Pingree improve to 6-3. Max Trotsky had four goals and two assists and Arjen Steejstra scored three times and added one assist. Defensemen Jackson Patrican and Tyler Rostad locked down their end and also scored goals.
Bishop Fenwick 16, Saugus 10: Senior Troy Reinold had three goals and four assists and junior Kyle Russell had a team high four goals plus two assists and the Crusaders (7-6) edged over the .500 mark for the season. Freshman Chris Napolitano chipped in three goals and three assists, P.J. Usalis had a goal and three assists, Aidan Moulton scored twice and senior goalies Jake Brennan (12) and Dylan Maida (2) combined for 14 stops in the win.
Hamilton-Wenham 13, Newburyport 12: The Generals (8-5) had one of their best offensive games of the year as Eddie Frick (four goals) and Christian Ecker (three goals) led the scoring charge. Griffin Webber and Matt Curran each had a pair of goals in the win.
Masconomet 12, Triton 4: Cam Jung (one assist) and Harry Cwik had three goals in the win for the Chieftains (8-4). Harrison Moody added a pair of goals, while Tighe Van Lenten (eight saves) and Johnathan Shipp (three goals) combined for the victory in goal.
Salem 17, Winthrop 7: The Witches (9-4) are now within one win of qualifying for the state tournament and winning the NEC South as Chad Coelho poured in eight goals and added three assists. Pete Slattery and Matt Wilson each added three goals to the winning effort, Matt Muse had a goal and five assists and senior goalie Kevin Nguyen earned his first win.
