LITTLE LEAGUE FALL BALL
The final sign-ups for Salem Little League fall ball will be held on Sept. 1 and Sept. 2 at Forest River Park, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. This will be the last chance to guarantee a spot for the fall season. The program will run for six weeks starting on Sept. 7. The cost is $40. This is for ages 9-12 before April 31, 2011.

YOUTH BASKETBALL
American Sign Language (ASL) Sports will be holding its inaugural basketball clinic on Saturday, Sept. 25 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Glen Urquhart School in Beverly Farms. All children who are hearing impaired and/or physically challenged are invited to attend. The clinics are free of charge and will have experienced youth basketball players to help train the children. American Sign Language interpreters will be on-site throughout the clinic. Snacks, drinks and pizza will be provided. Hoop Dreams, a preseason basketball program for girls only, will be held at Salem State College for players ages 8-18 Sundays from 9-11 a.m. starting Sept. 12. Directed by SSU head women's basketball coach Tim Shea, the program consists of intense training in those skills chosen by the player after consultation with our staff. There is a 6-to-1 maximum player-to-coach ratio and enrollment is limited, so pre-registration is required.
