Titans 5, Navigators 2: The visiting Navigators could muster just two runs in the eighth inning while allowing the hosts to score five times over the first three innings, falling below .500 (14-15) for the season. Biggio, Carter and Hendricks, the 3-4-5 hitters in the Navs’ lineup, each had two hits on the day.
On Saturday, the Navigators faced Los Tigres Dominicanos and came away with a 9-8 exhibition victory. Kyle Devin of Lynn had a big game offensively with a sacrifice fly, an RBI single to tie the game in the eighth inning, and his bases-loaded grounder in the seventh produced three seperate errors, allowing all three North Shore runners to score. Devin himself came around the score on that last play on a passed ball; Biggio scored the game-winning run on a passed ball as well.
