Monday's area roundup: Seacoast doubles up Navigators

FUTURES COLLEGIATE BASEBALL LEAGUE

Seacoast 8, North Shore 4: The Navigators scored twice in the bottom of the ninth but the rally stopped there. North Shore dropped to 14-16 on the summer despite RBI from Conor Biggio, Tim Hendricks, Devin Carter, the latter of whom had two hits each. Navs starter Thomas Crispi struck out seven in five innings but the Mavs scored three times in the top of the seventh to hold down the hosts.

NORTH SHORE BASEBALL LEAGUE

Peabody Champions 1, Bistany Bombers 0: The Pub snapped a three-game skid and improved to 10-6 with a home shutout win at the Twi Field. John Guillmet got the win, striking out six in five innings of work. Brian Marshall picked up the save, while Mark Shorey had two hits and the only run scored for Peabody (10-6).

On Sunday Champions Pub fell to Swampscott, 7-6. Bobby Dean pitched well in relief, striking out four. Zach Keenan and Mark Shorey each had pair of hits, while Mike Giardi homered in the loss.
