Former Salem High star Flynn named Beverly girls basketball coach

There’s no word about who will be on Flynn’s staff just yet.

A resident of Peabody, Flynn works with adults with disabilities at Easter Seals. Prior to coming to Beverly, she was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the Saint Anselm’s women’s basketball team in Manchester, N.H. She also held the same role at Saint Michael’s College in Vermont for a year.

In her college playing days, Flynn served as a two-year captain at Norwich University. As a point guard, she was named the 2006 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Player of the year her junior season. Upon graduation in 2007, she became one of the assistant coaches there as well.
