Other key players: Sky Cowans, Jr., Mid; Katherine Creamer, Jr., GK; Rachel Willwerth, Sr., D; Caitlin Hardy, Fr., F; Kristin O'Connor, Fr., F; Diandra Crowley, Fr., D.

Coach's outlook: "Our goal is to go .500 (and make the state tournament). If we stay organized, it's definitely something we can accomplish. On defense we know each other pretty well and we have some young but mature talent up top that I expect big things from."

BISHOP FENWICK

Coach's outlook: "Last year was the first time we played a tough schedule and there was a lot of concern about it. This year. we kind of know what to expect. We have a good foundation because we only lost seven seniors, and the leadership core has been good."

DANVERS

Last year's record: 19-1-3 (NEC Small champs; Won Division 2 North, lost in state semis)

Head coach: Jimmy Hinchion (12th year)

Team captains: Becky Landers, Sr., Mid; Kellie Macdonald, Sr., D; Brittany Russo, Sr., F; Gabby Vega, Sr., D.

Coach's outlook: "Time will tell. We have six really strong players that got a lot of accolades back, but it takes 11 to field a team. Hopefully the less experienced girls we have back can get acquainted to the varsity game quickly. We want to try to live up to those Danvers teams that have come before us."

HAMILTON-WENHAM

Coach's outlook: "We're looking to build on last year, but the whole Cape Ann League is shaping up really strong as it always does. Despite our record we stayed in most of our games last year — and we're hoping we can get some of those close ones turned in our favor this season."

IPSWICH

Coach's outlook: "We have a lot of people with some varsity experience that need to take their games to that next level, to step in and be the main players. I think similar to last year we'll be solid on defense and we'll need everybody to be part of the offense."

MARBLEHEAD

Last year's record: 10-8-2 (Lost in Division 2 North quarters)

Head coach: Tracy Deluca (first year)

Team captains: Hayley Braun, Sr., F; Courtney Maag, Sr., F; Sarah Noyes, Sr., D.

Coach's outlook: "As a new coach, you strive to have the best transitional first season you can. We are in a new, tougher division this year, so we'll rely heavily on our returning players from last year. I brought up a few freshman forwards to round out our team and expect all players will work together as a team on their skills, teamwork and gamesmanship. We have a talented young squad which is exciting as a coach because we can build a strong program this year and in the years to come."

MASCONOMET

Other key players: Gabby Russo, Sr., Mid/F; Melissa Wells, Sr., GK; Kerry White, Sr., D; Zoe Cennami, So., Mid; Lexi Sheehan, So. F.

Coach's outlook: "Defensively we're looking good, but we need to find someone to replace Lucy Gildein (now playing at Sacred Heart) on offense. We have some talented young players there and Gabby Russo is back, too. Our goal is always to try to win the Cape Ann League and hopefully make the tournament — then see what happens."

NORTH SHORE TECH

Other key players: Kelsey Levesque, Jr., Mid; Katherine Brebner, Jr., GK.

Coach's outlook: "We've been moved to the CAC upper division, which says a lot about how much our program has grown in just three years. We have a solid foundation on defense and some young players at the forward and midfield spots that will help us."

Coach's outlook: "Our expectations are high because our team from last year is pretty much intact. Our schedule is much tougher and to finish the way we did (last year), every team is going to be giving us their best effort. We have to be ready for that."

PINGREE

We're hoping to finish where have been near the top of the EIL. We play (top rival) Newton Country Day late in the season, so we have to stay strong and healthy to the end."

Coach's outlook: "We're building the team to carry on how well we played defensively last year. We want to play from the back out and actually attack from the back this year, too. With our schedule, it looks like we'll be grinding out some games — I'd rather do that than have it easy."
