Salem News Super Bowl XLVI staff predictions

So how do we, the sports staff at The Salem News, think Sunday's Super Bowl XLVI at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis will shake out? Not surprisingly, we're siding with most of New England — while going against the majority of the country — with our predictions:

GIANNA ADDARIO: Patriots, 30-23. Our Tom is an Awesome Tom.

DAN HARRISON: Patriots, 31-23. Winning the battle on both sides of the ball gets Brady back on top of the football world.

MATT JENKINS: Giants, 31-27. Eli Manning solidifies his place as the top quarterback in the Manning family.

PHIL STACEY: Patriots, 31-17. It's not about revenge? Sure it isn't. And Foo Fighters are just an 'average' band.

MATT WILLIAMS: Patriots, 28-24. New York has a lot of favorable match-ups, but Bill Belichick will find a mental edge and Tom Brady will exploit it.
