The Danvers High Golf Boosters will be holding its annual tournament at the Ferncroft Country Club on Monday with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start. This major fundraiser directly supports the varsity and JV golf teams. The cost of $150 per player includes 18 holes of championship golf with cart, raffle prizes, and an awards dinner reception. The 34th Cape Ann Hockey School will hold sessions at the Peabody Rink this summer from August 5-9, 12-16 and 19-23. Ages 5-to-9 go from 8:30-10:30 a.m. followed by 9-12-year-olds from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and ages 13-18 from 5-7 p.m. Each class limits the student-teacher ratio for individualized instruction, and the school is led by 33-year Masco coach Bob Driscoll. Cost is $200 per week, with discounts for siblings and multiple weeks. Summer at Pingree will hold a Football Skills Clinic on the Pingree School campus at 537 Highland Street in South Hamilton from July 29 to August 1 for boys entering grades 7-9. The clinic is designed to help players develop essential skills. Participants will work with Pingree’s Head Football Coach Christ Powers, other coaches, and players from the Pingree football program. Skills will range from stance and footwork to game strategies. Each day will consist of warm ups, agility training, individual position training, team concepts, and end with a 7 v 7 game. Pitching Fix summer prep will be holding morning and evenings training sessions which include information on mechanics, velocity building, conditioning, drills and nutrition.
