Ipswich girls basketball victorious over Masco

---- — NORTH SHORE GIRLS SUMMER BASKETBALL LEAGUE

Ipswich 47, Masconomet 35: Masey Zegarowski led the Tigers with 29 points, while Jenna Gagnon added 12. Hannah Kiernan and Nicole Femino both had 13 for Masco on Wednesday night.

Last night the Chieftains topped Lynnfield by a score of 41-14. Kiernan and Meg Collins each finished with 11.

Wakefield defeated Hamilton-Wenham, 34-24 as high scorer Daniella Iannuzzi led with 14.

Fenwick’s Kate Lipka (14 points) and Chandler Wilder (11) helped the Crusaders to a 47-13 win over Beverly.

Devan Walsh scored a game-high 24 points for Danvers, which defeated Gloucester, 27-20. Sabrina Maciel added nine for the Fishermen.

FUTURES COLLEGE BASEBALL

Brockton 12, North Shore Navigators 3: The Navs (6-1) suffered their first loss of the summer despite having 10 hits and leaving nine baserunners stranded. Connor Biggio had three hits and Kyle Devin had two hits and North Shore’s lone RBI. Ryan Grant struck out three in two innings in his first work of the summer.

Kingston 3, Peabody 2: Mike Moroney threw a complete game, giving up three runs (two unearned) and four hits for the Navs (7-2). Jon Blodgett and Derek Lyons finished with two hits and run scored, while Mark Shorey walked and doubled and was had solid play in the outfield.

Swampscott 9, Newburyport 3: Dario Madrano had three RBI, scored two runs and stole three bases for the victorious Sox (2-6).

North Shore 9, Beverly 1: Beverly was limited to three hits from Dillon Gonzalez, Alex Toomey and T.J. Larribee as they fell to 7-4.
