Four North Shore pitchers combined to hold down Martha’s Vineyard Saturday, with Derek Dubois going the first six and allowing just three hits. Shaun McGrath (run), Kyle Gauthier and Tom Crispi (save) finished the game off and held the lead, which was provided in part by Hendricks (3-for-4, run scored) and Forrest Johnson (RBI).
The Navigators are 7-2 this summer and host Martha’s Vineyard tonight followed by a match-up with second-place Nashua Tuesday.

Champions 7, Beverly Recs 0: Mark Shorey had two hits, two RBI and a run to help Champions move to 8-2 last night. Mike Giardi added two runs and an RBI and Mike Gallo allowed three hits and struck out six through five innings.
Saturday, the Recs (now 7-5-1) beat North Reading 10-2. Lucas Igles earned his fourth win, J.C. Collette had three RBI, and Dan and Matt Mello knocked in two runs each.

Salem 6, Swampscott 4: Ruben Baez hit a grand slam in the top of the seventh to make it 6-2 Salem and Bryan Palacio made a great catch to end Swampscott’s rally in the bottom of the extra inning. Bryan Pena hit a solo homer for Salem, Matt Silva had an RBI and earned the win on the hill, while Aaron Fournier scored two runs.
Dylan January hit a two-run homer for Swampscott.
