Tuesday's area roundup: Masco boys tennis tops North Andover

Jamie Iwanicki scored twice and Connor McAdams and Dukey Kriksceomaitis each had one goal for the Tigers (2-6). Jeff Statile made 12 saves for Ipswich.

Masconomet 15, Triton 11: Tom Cashin (5 goals, 1 assist), Cam Jung (3-1) and Harry Cwik (2-2) powered the Masconomet offense as the Chieftains improved to 8-3. Goalie John Schiff stopped 13 shots through three quarters and Jay Kraunelis made five saves in the fourth quarter.

COLLEGE SOFTBALL

Endicott 7, Western New England 0: Comonwealth Coast Conference Pitcher of the Year Nell O’Connor tossed another shutout, striking out four and allowing only four hits, to lead the Gulls (23-11-1) into the league semi-finals being played tomorrow. Jesse Bilafer went 4-fot-4 with two RBI to lead the offense and Emily Hoffman had two RBI while Rachel Couto had two hits.

COLLEGE BASEBALL

Salem State 17, Babson 6: The Vikings (26-14) amassed 23 hits in their final tune-up before the MASCAC postseason. Beverly natives Ethan Trowt and Alex Toomey both had four hits while Mike Davis, Matt Burgess and Richard Fecteau each had three. Brett Cahill scored three runs and reached base five times for Salem State, which scored three runs or more in five separate innings.
