Thursday's area roundup: Latham lifts St. John's Prep in extra innings

St. John’s Prep 14, B.C. High 8: Andrew Gallahue recorded a goal and four assists as the Eagles improve to 6-4 on the year. Sam Frick added two goals and four assists, while Shawn Waldron led with a team-high thre goals, and Jess Cowles contributed with a pair of goals. Lucas De’Angelo made eight saves in goal for the win.

North Shore Tech/Essex Aggie 14, Lynn Tech 0: Anthony Huntley scored four goals to help the Hawks (5-4) to victory. Dan McCormick and Ian LeFavour each recorded two goals in the win.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Marblehead 12, Pentucket 5: Emily Freedland scored four goals and freshman Lucy Poulin had two goals, two assists and picked up seven groundballs as the Magicians improved to 7-5. Ellie Ronan and Sydney Cayen added two goals each and Piper Newhall and Amanda Gregory scored once.

Waring 15, Brimmer and May 6: Grace Gustafarro (one goal) and Jaita Richon (two goals) both played outstanding on defense for the Mavericks (4-1). Kat Pappas was the star of the game in goal.
