Hamilton-Wenham 1, Triton 0: Austen Michel scored Brett Herring on sacrifice fly in the first inning for the only run of the game. Senior Jack Clay threw seven innings, struck out six, walked four and allowed two hits. Drew Gallant finished 2-for-3 on the day for the Generals (9-3).
Masconomet 4, Swamspcott 1: Junior Greg Dougherty hit a pair of homers, with a 2-run shot breaking a 1-1 tie in the fifth and another solo blast in the seventh, as the Chieftains remained perfect at 13-0. Mike Manni also drove in a run for Masco while senior Ethan Dyer struck out five and gave up only two hits in six innings to earn the win.
Greg Collier pitched admirably for the Big Blue (4-11), Christian Llorente scored his team’s run on a wild pitch and Ryan Cresta had a hit and played well at shortstop.
Bishop Fenwick 6, AP 3 (9): Tom Parsons went nine innings striking out 10, allowing one earned on three hits and actually was perfect through five innings. In the top of the ninth Jhon Oliveira walked and then scored on a Nick Bona single up the middle. Bona stole second and scored on a Mike Campatelli before pinch runner Matt Haley stole second and then scored on a Will Vigneron double. Matt Renzulli had three doubles and a run scored.
Amesbury 2, Ipswich 1: Sean Whooley pitched complete game and didn’t give up an earned run but Ipswich (2-10) couldn’t break through to tie the game. Savoie Mike had the RBI single.
North Shore Tech/Essex Aggie 6, Lynn tech 1: The Hawks improve to 8-6 overall, winning their fifth straight game. Senior Rob Craig pitched a complete game, let up four hits, two walks and struck out six.
North Shore Tech/Essex Aggie 18, Minuteman 3: Yordanny Sanchez scored the first three goals of his career and Dan McCormick potted six to help the Hawks improve to 8-4. Ian LeFavour dished out five assists and the defense of R.J. Conroy, Sean McDonough and Brandon Clegg were outstanding as a unit.
