Wicked Running Club is now accepting scholarship applications through June 2. Four scholarships will be awarded to high school and college runners with funds raised by the Frosty Four race. Requirements are being an Essex Country resident and participating in cross country or track as a high school senior. Scholarships will be awarded based on a combination of academic achievement, contributions to their team, volunteer/community work and quality of application and essay. The Lynn Park and Recreation Department is offering eight youth summer evening track meets on June 3, 10, 16 ,July 22, 29, August 5, 12, 19 . They begin at 6:15 p.m. All ages are welcome and there is no entry fee with computer scoring. Youngsters from all communities are invited. Salem-Beverly Secondary Youth Baseball tryouts for their summer teams on Sunday, May 18 at Cooney Field in Beverly . The league, which consists of Babe Ruth, Senior Babe Ruth and Tompkins All-Star League players from Beverly, Salem, Hamilton, Wenham, Manchester, Essex and Danvers are invited to try out. The tryout schedule is as follows: Tompkins B division (13-14-year-olds), 2 p.m.; Tompkins A division (15-16-year-olds), 4 p.m.; Senior Babe Ruth (16-19-year-olds), 6 p.m. (Salem-Beverly only); Tompkins Senior Division (17-21-years-old), 6 p.m. All ages are of May 1 of this year.
