FOOTBALL

Ipswich High School is currently seeking applicants for an open sub-varsity football position. HOCKEY

The 2014 Cape Ann Hockey School run by Bob Driscoll will be held from August 4-August 22 at McVann-O’Keefe Rink in Peabody. In its 35th year, the school runs three sessions from August 4-8, 11-15 and 18-22 with ages 5-9 sakting from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30, ages 8-12 from 10:30-12:30 p.m. and ages 13-18 from 5-7:00 p.m. There is one girls session from August 18-22 from 3-3:00 p.m. For more information, please visit www.capeannhockeyschool.com.

SOFTBALL

Bishop Fenwick varsity softball coach Paul Lyman will be running a Top Gun Softball Clinic for girls all ages July 21-24 at Bishop Fenwick High School in Peabody from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day. BASKETBALL

The Elite Basketball Camp will be held at Danvers High July 14-17. The camp will be held from 5-9 p.m. and is open to girls and boys ages 14-18. The camp will focus on all the fundamentals, taught by six local high school coaches. Saugus’ Paul Moran, Danvers’ John Walsh, Salem’s Tom Doyle and Winthrop’s Dave Brown will coach the boys while Beverly’s Allison Flynn and Winthrop’s Ignacio Oyola will serve as the girls coaches.

Cost is $175, but if a group of three or more players from the same high school attend the cost drops to $150 per player. For more information or to sign up, contact Walsh at 781-307-8231 or Moran at 978-273-0306.

The ninth annual North Shore Basketball Clinic will be held August 4-7 at Higgins Middle School in Peabody. The clinic is run by St. John’s Prep basketball coach John Dullea and former St. John’s Prep basketball coach Sean Connolly. It will run from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and is open to boys and girls ages 8-16. For more information, please contact Dullea at jdullea@hotmail.com or at 978-210-1974.
