Bishop Fenwick, Junior

Second Base

Emerged as the Crusaders’ biggest offensive threat while batting cleanup ... Took home Catholic Central League all-star honors ... Transitioned from being a catcher last season to Fenwick’s second baseman this year with a .947 fielding percentage ... Named team’s Offensive Player of the Year ... Batted .480 with 26 runs scored, 36 hits, 23 RBI and nine stolen bases ... Is in the early stages of the college process, but hope to play either softball or volleyball at the next level.

CHRISTINA CHALMERS

Pingree, Junior

Pitcher

Started in 17 games for the Highlanders, compiling a 12-5 record on the hill ... Pitched 106 innings and notched 95 strikeouts with a 2.24 ERA ... One of two captains this year ... Named captain-elect for next season ... Three-time Eastern Independent League all-star ... Was given the Coaches Award at this year’s team banquet ... Carried a .387 batting average with 24 hits and 13 RBI ... Has worked hard this year on changing the speed and location of her pitches.

MICHAELA LEBLANC

Marblehead, Junior

Pitcher

One of three captains this season for the Magicians ... Helped her team to a 14-6 record ... Became all-time winningest pitcher in school history with 32 victories over her high school career ... Compiled a 1.74 ERA with 76 strikeouts and only 11 walks this season ... A two-time Northeastern Conference and Salem News all-star ... Recorded 16 put outs and 50 assists defensively ... Batted in 3-spot with 20 hits, 16 RBI and a .357 batting average.

Marblehead, Junior

Shortstop

Hit a a team-high .471 batting average with 33 hits ... Became the fourth player in school history to have more than 30 hits in a single season ... Excelled in baserunning ... Set a single season team record with 43 stolen bases and became the school’s all-time leader in stolen bases ... Outstanding athlete who switched from left field to short stop this season ... Hit for power with a pair fence-clearing home runs ... Tri-captain holds a 3.65 GPA ... Named Northeastern Conference all-star.
