NSBL shuts out CNEBA in All Star game


Shorey also had an outstanding defensive game in centerfield where he showed impressive range on a few hard liners that could have gone for extra bases. Lyons meanwhile provided what proved to be the game-winning hit when he broke a scoreless tie in the bottom of the third. The Champions shortstop ripped a hard grounder between third base and shortstop that scored Dan Mello and Jairo Valdez.

After the game, Lyons spoke about the interstate All Star game.

“It’s always fun to get together with the other guys in the (North Shore Baseball) league and play other competition,” said Lyons. “We get to see where we stand against other leagues in the state.”
