BEVERLY — The Endicott College football team, which finished its regular season with an 8-2 record, will host Norwich University this Saturday (1 p.m.) in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) North Atlantic Bowl.
Endicott, which ended the regular season on a six-game winning streak, finished 6-1 in the New England Football Conference Boyd Division for the third straight year. All told, 11 Gulls players achieved NEFC All-Division status.
Among the local players on Endicott roster are a pair of linebackers from Beverly, senior Pete Kallas and junior Nick Kozlowski; junior defensive backs Curtis Manuel and Mark Theriault, both of Beverly; former North Shore Tech quarterback David St. Pierre, another junior from Beverly; and freshman split end Nathan Silveira of Middleton (a former Masconomet standout).
Norwich, which has never faced Endicott in a football game, finished its season at 7-2 (4-2 in NEFC competition).
This marks the second straight season that the Gulls will appear in an ECAC bowl game; last November, they defeated Mount Ida, 31-22.
