BEVERLY

Coach: Sean Dunleavy (7th year)

Runners to watch: Michael Scott, Sr., Capt.; Matt Heckman, Sr., Capt.; Campbell Wood, Jr.; Zach Bauer, Jr.; Brian McPherson, Fr.; Oliver Muise, Fr.

Season outlook: “We have good numbers and I’m optimistic for a good season, especially with two excellent freshmen in McPherson and Muise along with Wood, a junior who ran really well last season. Scott and Heckman will be counted on for leadership.”

BISHOP FENWICK

Last year’s record: 7-1

Coach: Steve Czarnecki (10th year)

Runners to watch: Eric Leohle, Sr., Capt.; Nick Tambini, Sr., Capt.; Sean Cray, Sr.; Jim DiGiulio, Jr.; Matt Loehle, Jr.; Billy Noftle, Sr.

Season outlook: “We have a veteran group back with a lot of experience. They’ve been working hard, and the league is wide open this year.”

DANVERS

Last year’s record: 4-3

Coach: John Norris (18th year)

Runners to watch: James Bailey, Sr., Capt.; Ryan Heber, Sr., Capt.; Kevin Hebert, Jr.

Season outlook: “We have some new runners who may provide us with depth. We’ll be competitive.”

HAMILTON-WENHAM

Last year’s record: 7-3

Coach: Steve Sawyer (35th year)

Runners to watch: Matt Gillis, Sr.; Michael Allara, Jr.; Jack Blatchford, Jr.; Sam Erhard, Jr.; Alex MacDonald, Sr.; Lucas Cruz Nascimento, Sr.; Riley Frackelton, Sr.

Season outlook: “We have a lot back, and they had a good summer training. There’s talent; we should be competitive.”

IPSWICH

Last year’s record: 6-4

Coach: Matt Simms (10th year)

Runners to watch: Michael Riddle, Sr., Capt.; Michael Connor, Sr., Luke Sirois, Jr.; Connor Fitzpatrick, Sr.; Justin Bergner, Soph.

Season outlook: “Five of our top six runners are back, including CAL Small Runner of the Year (Riddle); we’re looking to be competitive (and) repeat as CAL Small champions.”

MARBLEHEAD
