Wednesday's area roundup: Endicott women make history with NCAA win

Masconomet 11, Georgetown 5: Cam Jung had three goals for the Chieftains (10-5), while Max Craig, Harry Cwik and Henry Behrens each added two goals. Tighe Van Lenten had sevens saves through three quarters and Johnathan Shipp had two saves in the fourth.

Masconomet 23, Georgetown 9: Amy Arnold scored five times, Rachel Rogal, Becca Phillips and Kathleen Gillespie each had three goals, and Marylee Hutchinson scored her first career goal to highlight the Chieftains’ victory. Masco improved to 10-4.

Manchester Essex 15, Triton 5: Taylor Meeks and Brittany Smith each had four goals and two assists to lead the Hornets (11-2).

Peabody 14, Swampscott 5: The Tanners moved to 9-3 with a solid all-around game. Courtney Smith (2 goals, 2 assists), Sarah Napolitano (2-0) and Bianca Muscato (1-2) each had multi-point games for Peabody. Aly Bortone and Nicole Pavao also scored, while Christa Trombley, Sarah Godschall and goalie Cheyenne Jackson (9 saves) played well defensively.

Waring 22, Brimmer & May 10: Sarah Kessler played strong defense and contributed a highlight-reel goal to lead Waring (8-2). Ayla Rahala also played tough defense and scored a goal while goalie Maddie Crowley made 14 saves. Sophomore Isabelle Cookson led the offense with four goals.

Hamilton-Wenham 23, North Reading 12: Emily Gaucher erupted for 10 goals and six assists to power the Generals to victory. Phoebe Shaw also played well with three goals and two assists. Catherine Ecker (2-1), Catherine Martin (1-1), Nicole Foringer (1-1) and Julie Ferriera (0-2) also had multiple points for Hamilton-Wenham (10-3), which received 22 saves from goalie Morgan Kimball.

Bishop Fenwick 11, Austin Prep 10: Grace Celona and Annette Ruggiero each had three goals as the Crusaders (10-5) won a key CCL game that was tied 5-5 at halftime and close all the way. Tessa McLaughlin had two goals, Anna Moulton had a goal and two assists, Lexi Rose and Caroline Crowford each scored once and Natalie Emerson had three assists. Goalie Nicole Votta made five key saves and Katie Hart and Monica Poeske had good defensive second halves for Fenwick.
