Marblehead 43 1/2, Danvers 28 1/2: The Magicians improved to 3-1 with Kyle Mualden, Jake Kramer and Pitch Riley each winning their matches. Alex Martin and Matt Alexander had strong rounds for Danvers, which dipped to 0-3.
Peabody 3, Salem 1: The Tanners, behind senior captain Carolyn Scacchi’s 24 service points, 12 kills and four aces, rallied to win the final two sets and take the match, 25-15, 18-25, 25-20, 25-20. Olivia Summitt had six kills and Sara Hosman finished with nine assists and two kills for Peabody (3-0).
Hannah Mullarkey had a strong game with nine kills and six digs for Salem (1-3) while Coddy Holman had six kills and six digs and Kayti LaFrancois added 13 digs.
Swampscott 3, Danvers 1: The Falcons won the first set in program history, though the Big Blue came out on top 26-24, 25-19, 24-26, 25-8. Shannon Veilleux had 10 assists and four aces for Danvers while Abby Bennett had 12 service receptions and didn’t make any errors,

Masconomet wins two: The Chieftains topped Georgetown (15-50) and Lynnfield (19-44) to improve to 3-0 on the season. Megan Collins was the overall race winning in 20:23, followed by Kathleen Gillespie in third in 22:19. Kim Cosgrove (22:39), Abby Greenslade (24:15) and Gwen Ellis (24:22) made up the rest of the top six as Masco had five of the first six finishers.
Peabody 17, Gloucester 47: The Tanner trio of Lauren Barrett, Samantha Allen and Toni Pagliuca all crossed the finish line in 19:11 as Peabody won its season opener at home. Sydney May was fifth for Peabody.
Amesbury 27, Ipswich 32: Annie Zampitella ran 21:27 to lead Ipswich, which also lost to Hamilton-Wenham, 15-50, in a tri-meet. Maggie Brown ran 22:44 followed by freshmen Norah Hughes (23:43) and Delaney Whooley (27:12) and 10 Tiger runners turned in personal bests despite the high temperature.

Endicott 9, Curry 0: The Gulls rolled to an easy home win while improving to 2-0 in Commonwealth Coast Conference play and 3-1 overall. Chrissy Martel (6-3, default), Amy Heacox (6-0, 6-0), Natalie Egbert (6-0, 6-1), Suzie Newman (6-1, 6-0), Mackenzie Rhodes (6-0, 6-1) and Brittany Potter (6-0, 6-1) won in singles play at Nos. 1 through 6, respectively. The clean sweep was completed in doubles as Heacox and Rhodes (8-0), Martel and Egbert (8-1) and Elizabeth Zarkades of Beverly and Devin Curley (default) also prevailed.
