Team captain posted 10 wins in match play to lead the Big Blue into the postseason ... Named team MVP and selected to the Northeastern Conference all-star team ... Considers his low score of 36 at Tedesco Country Club as his best individual performance this season ... Shot an 82 at Hillview in the Division 3 North sectional ... Intends to major in Engineering in college.

GEORGE MAY

Masconomet, Sophomore

One-half of a dynamic family duo for the Chieftains, teaming up with his older brother Charlie to provide strength at the top of Masco’s lineup ... Averaged 31.25 quota points per match with the Cape Ann League’s scoring system ... Named CAL All-League ... Shot even par in four matches this season ... His 77 at Far Corner in the Division 2 North sectional was tops for Masco ... Carded a 78 in the Div. 2 state final at Beverly Golf & Tennis ... Hopes to someday play Division 1 college golf.

TIM RICHMOND

Salem, Senior

Capped a spectacular senior season by shooting a 76 at the Division 2 state final, good for fourth as an individual ... Shot a 78 to tie for third in the Div. 2 North sectional at Far Corner in cold, windy conditions ... Piled up the awards this year, including being named Salem team MVP and the Northeastern Conference Small Player of the Year ... Has a 3.25 GPA and intends to continue playing golf after graduation.

AUSTIN RUBINO

Ipswich, Junior

Tigers’ captain played well enough this season to garner Cape Ann League All-League status ... Also earned the Ipswich golf Player of the Year award ... Shot 2-over par at Ipswich Country Club to accumulate 32 quota points while leading the Tigers to a 153-118 win over Rockport ... Averaged 24 points per match for Ipswich this season ... Carries a 3.8 GPA ... Also plays baseball and swims for the Tigers.

Beverly, Senior

Panthers’ No. 2 player posted a 10-0 record in Northeastern Conferences matches ... Overall had a 12-1-1 record ... Performed well late in the season, placing fourth in the NEC Open with an 82 at Kernwood Country Club ... Was selected as an NEC all-star ... Holds a 3.8 GPA and hopes to attend a design school.
