Newest Swampscott High Athletic Hall of Fame inductees are announced

Charlie Kimball is considered the “Grandfather of Swampscott High track,” having coached there from 1963-71. He guided three straight Big Blue cross country teams to conference titles as well as two outdoor conference championship seasons in the spring. He was also an assistant hockey coach.

Bradley Lord, who went on to earn a silver medal at the 1961 North American Skating Championships, will be given a special recognition as well. Lord, who attended Swampscott High, was also the U.S. Men’s Ice Skating Champion in 1961.

Lastly, the entire 1957 Swampscott football team, which went unbeaten as the Class B state champs and ended the year with a trip to Miami, will be honored as Hall of Fame inductees as well.
