It’s beginning to feel like golf season here on the North Shore.
Spring weather has started creeping in, the days are getting longer, and The Masters is only a week away. North Shore courses are beginning to prepare for the season.
Far Corner Golf Club in Boxford will open today with nine holes being available to play.
Players will be able to rent golf carts, but the carts will be restricted to cart paths due to the wet conditions.
With the weather forecast calling for decent conditions the rest of the week and into the weekend, it is anticipated that Far Corner, a 36-hole course, will be gradually opening more holes. Eighteen holes are expected to be open this weekend, with a few holes using temporary greens.
Spring prices ($17.50 walking, $26.50 riding for nine holes) will apply.
The driving range at Far Corner is open for lessons only with Golf Professional John O’Connor available.
Far Corner is also still taking signups for the Monday and Wednesday night men’s leagues.
