Far Corner Golf Club will be hosting its Holloween scramble tournament on Saturday, Oct. 31 with a shotgun start beginning at 8:30 a.m. The entry fee is $80 a person and includes a cart, food (cookout following), greens fee, and prizes. Extra Innings in Middleton will begin its inaugural Winter Hitting League in November. It is a six week season open to ages 7-15. The Wild Turkey Race tune up clinic with instructor and certified USATF coach Mike Toomey will be held Thursdays, from Oct. 29 through Nov. 26 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Salem Common. Brenda's Bosom Buddies will be hosting a 5K road race on Sunday, Nov. 9, beginning at Champions Pub on Foster St. in Peabody. There will be a $20 entry fee due by Oct. 31 to help pay for Brenda Forsythe's medical bills. Post entry fees will be $22.
