Area roundup: Endicott erases deficit to record first win

Endicott's first win of the season didn't come easily, but the effort was well worth it for the Gulls.

Endicott erased a 12-point halftime deficit to defeat Framingham State, 81-78.

Danquah Ralwins scored 15 points and pulled down five boards to lead Endicott, while Graham Whitelaw connected for 13 points while dishing out five assists.

Matt Bibeau and Erik Calo also played well for Endicott (1-1) with 11 points and three blocks each.

gordon 61, husson 59: Aaron Trigg drilled a three-pointer with 50 seconds left to give Gordon the lead for good. Trigg led all scorers with 17 points, while Greg Walker pitched in 12 for the Fighting Scots.

GIRLS SOCCER

TILTON 2, WARING 0: Despite a dozen saves from goalie Rowena Schenck of Hamilton, Waring saw its season end at 15-4 with the loss in the NEPSAC Class D semifinals. Allie Hinrichs of Swampscott had six shots on goal for Waring while Colleen O'Brien of Magnolia ran one off the Tilton post with five minutes to play.

Brewster 2, Pingree 0: Pingree goalkeeper Kara Kovacev had a strong game in net, making 13 saves, but the Lady Highlanders (10-4-2) fell to a very tough Brewster Academy squad in the quarterfinals of the New England Prep School tournament yesterday.
