Salem News 2013 Field Hockey all-star team



Masconomet Senior

Left Inner Forward

Was named Cape Ann League MVP ... All-Cape Ann League selection the last few seasons ... Finished the year with 27 goals and 18 assists ... September Athlete of the Month at Masconomet ... Scored five goals and added two asissts in a win over Pentucket ... Played in the Massachusetts State Field Hockey Best of 60 Senior Game ... Has comitted to Assumption College, where she will continue to play field hockey.


Danvers Senior


A strong transition player that excelled at both ends of the field ... Team captain helped lead Falcons to an 11-5-2 record and an appearance in the Division 1 North state tournament ... Northeastern Conference all-star ... Had her best individual performance of the season against Peabody, scoring a goal on a stroke and also finished with an assist ... Holds 93 average in the classroom ... Plans to get her doctorate in physical therapy.


Peabody Senior

Center Back

Peabody team MVP this season was also a Northeastern Conference all-star ... Was part of a Tanners club that earned NEC’s Team Sportsmanship Award ... .. Ranked 32nd in her class with a 3.7 grade point average ... Will try out for the field hockey team at whatever college she decides to attend ... Scored the game-tying goal on a stroke in a game against Gloucester ... Credits her father as her biggest athletic influence for introducing her to sports at a young age.


Masconomet Senior

Center Midfield

Team captain helped pioneer the Chieftains to a 17-0-1 regular season record and an appearance in the Division 1 North semifinals ... Finished with nine goals and 10 assists ... Named to the All-Cape Ann League team ... Ranked fourth in her class with a 5.06 out of 5.3 GPA ... Hopes to play field hockey in college, where she plans to be pre-med .... Had her best game in the season opener against Arlington.
