Bishop Fenwick football team wins Division 5 Super Bowl

FOXBOROUGH -- For the first time in 13 years, Bishop Fenwick's football players will be getting their ring fingers sized.

The Crusaders completed a perfect season by thrashing Northbridge 28-0 in the Division 5 Super Bowl last night at Gillette Stadium.

Bishop Fenwick went unbeaten with a perfect 13-0 record and claimed the program's third Super Bowl championship (the others came in 1999 and 2000).

Junior running back Rufus Rushins powered Fenwick by scoring three touchdowns to go with 158 yards rushing. Senior QB Nick Bona threw a 39-yard touchdown pass to fellow captain Eric Razney on the Crusaders' first offensive snap, and Rushins scored twice in the third quarter (including a 49-yard jaunt) to help put the game out of reach.
