Area roundup: Navs take down Brockton

FUTURES COLLEGIATE BASEBALL LEAGUE

North Shore Navigators 7, Brockton Rox 2: Derek Dubois went seven innings and struck out nine batters, while Shaun McGrath picked up his first win of the year on the mound. The scored remained tied at 2-2 heading into the top of the ninth, where the Navs put up five runs to take control of the game.

Conor Biggio went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs scored, including a home run in the win. Forrest Johnson finished 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored.

NORTH SHORE HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS SUMMER BASKETBALL LEAGUE

Bishop Fenwick 55: Ipswich 39: Kate Lipka poured in 20 points for the Crusaders, while teammate Chandler Wilder added nine in the win. Ipswich’s Jenna Gagnon finished with a team-high 16 points and Hanna Stasiuk scored eight.

Wakefield 39, Manchester Essex 17: Daniela Iannuzzi netted a game-high 12 points, while Grace Hurley contributed with 10 for Wakefield.
