Friday's area roundup: Danvers girls grab win over Bishop Fenwick

Swampscott 3, O’Bryant 2: The Big Blue slipped past O’Bryant in a road match. Swampscott improved to 14-1 with the win.

Georgetown 13, Manchester Essex 7: Kelsey Field had two hits and an RBI and Sam Taylor chipped in with two hits in the Hornets’ setback. Nicole Bradley made two excellent catches in left field.

Lynnfield 5, Ipswich 2: The Tigers led 2-0 but Lynnfield posted a five-run fifth inning to win. Hannah Travers ripped a two-run double for Lynnfield and she scored what proved to be the game-winning run on a delayed double steal. Travers finished with three hits and Jackie Whelan added a pair. Freshman Annika Han was the winning pitcher and drove in a run for the Pioneers (12-7).

Freshman Carly Coughlin went 3-for-3 with two RBI for Ipswich (4-10). Classmate Sydney Law pitched well for the Tigers, allowing six hits, and Jill Lombard added two hits for Ipswich.

St. John’s Prep 3, Catholic Memorial 0: Senior outside hitter Brian Keogh recorded his 300th kill of the season to highlight the Eagles’ 25-11, 25-6, 25-20 victory over Catholic Memorial. Keogh finished with 15 in the match and now has 312 for the season. St. John’s improved to 16-3 with one match remaining against Millis on Monday at home (7 p.m.).
