“I felt like BU was the right place for me. I love the fact it’s right in the middle of the city and it’s a very big school.”
Jayne started out as a midfielder, but several club coaches convinced her attack was the best place for her skills.
“I like both and will play wherever BU wants me to,” said Jayne, who played club lacrosse for Synergy until last summer before coaching the program’s younger girls this fall.
“Scoring’s not the most important thing for me; I don’t even know how many goals I had last season because my coaches never told me. I’m more concerned about my assists because I think that’s the biggest part of any attacker’s job.”
As someone who loves math and science, Jayne is thinking about majoring in engineering at BU.
“I’m excited to (have made) my choice and know where I’ll be playing the next four years,” she said.
