North Shore Tech/Essex Aggie 72, Mystic Valley 47: Jordan Mendez led all scorers with 17 points, while the Bulldogs had three players with double digit rebounds Kale Schaejbe and Yordanny Sanchez each had 10, while Elija Alfred had 11. Trace Schaejbe dropped in 13 points and 10 assists on senior night for NST (4-15).

Newburyport 62, Masconomet 54: The Chieftains (9-10) have one final game to qualify for the tournament against Malden Catholic on Wednesday. Senior Brian Reardon had 14 points, while Alberto Arenaza finished with 11 in the loss.

BOYS TRACK

Fenwick has strong showing: At yesterday’s Eastern Mass Division 4 Championships, Charlie Mistrellis placed eighth in the 300 with a time of :37.6 and was also a member of the fourth place 4x200 relay team (1:37), which also included Eric Razney, Nick Tambini and Dan Deschenes. Pat Corcoran was sixth in the shot (46-2) and Ryan Mendez placed seventh in the 1000 (2:42).

marblehead places second in div. 3: Behind seniors Connor Green, Chris Wiley, Brett LeBlanc and Josh Beloff, who won the 4x200 relay in 1:35.45, the Magicians finished with 30 points, trailing only Hingham in the 36-team field at the Regie Lewis Center. Beloff also took third place in the 300 (36.67) and long jump (21-1), Green placed fifth in the 55 dash (6.85) and Conrad Rousseau finished seventh in the 55 hurdles (8.29).

dANVERS’ MANSON WINS SHOT PUT: Senior Joe Manson won the shot put in Division 3 for the second straight year. His throw of 53 feet 1/4 inch earned him an automatic spot in next weekend’s All-State competition. Teammate Drew Piazza added a sixth place finish in the 600 (1:24.42) while Ryan Levesque tied for eighth in the high jump (5-10) as Danvers finished in 16th place with 13 1/3 points.

Swampscott takes 10th: The Big Blue finished with 23 points as Peter Hale breezed to a six-second victory in the 2-mile (9:34.13). Robert Seymour was fifth in the shot put (47-11 1/4) and Matthew Mahoney was fifth in the 2-mile (9:46.89).
