Coach’s outlook: “We’re looking to win the Catholic Conference again and qualify for the tournament. We graduated the core of the team from last year and have only four returning starters. We’re still extremely competitive with a lot of kids that can play different positions.”

Danvers

Last year’s record: 14-4-1 (Lost in Div. 3 quarterfinals)

Captains: Zack Noring, Sr., M; Matt Kidney, Sr., D.

Other players to watch: Caio Silva, Sr., M; Cam Bornstein, So., GK; Nikolay Sakhin, Jr., F.

Coach’s outlook: “We’re not as strong as we have been in the past. There were a lot of good players that graduated and there are some holes we need to fill. Defensively, we’re good — that’s our strength. Matt Kidney really solidifies everything at sweep and holds it down.”

Peabody

Head coach: Stan McKeen (18th season)

Captains: C.J. Alimonti, Sr., M/F; Ben Britton, Sr., M; Connor Bombaci, Sr., D.

Coach’s outlook: “I’m pleased with the way we look so far. We graduated 13 kids and have a fairly young team. We have seven seniors and the rest are all juniors. I like our intensity. We’re not a big team size wise, but we have a lot of skill and speed, which will be key for us. We’re hoping for the best and just want to get off to a good start.”

Bishop Fenwick

Last year’s record: 6-9-4 (Lost in Div. 3 preliminary round)

Coach’s outlook: “We’re much more mature and more developed than we were last year at this time. The boys trained hard all summer. I don’t know how many games we’ll win, but the boys understand the system and are strong collectively. We have a lot of depth and I’m just really proud of the guys.”

Beverly
