The Salem News

---- — Editor’s note: The following is an offbeat Q&A providing unique insight into the players lining up under center and calling signals on Friday nights and Saturday afternoons across the North Shore.

What is your favorite subject in school? Science internship

What is your favorite play to run during a game? Quarterback trap, or anything where I get to run between the tackles. I love contact.

Is there any special meaning behind your jersey number? My 25 is definitely not a quarterback number, but it was given to me the first year I played football in 7th grade and has stuck with me. I didn’t want to change it.

What is your favorite movie? ‘Remember The Titans’.

Who is your favorite college or pro QB to watch? Matt Ryan of the Atlanta Falcons.

How do you think the Red Sox will do in the playoffs? I think they have a great chance to go deep into the postseason and possibly make it to the World Series. I could see a World Series matchup between Boston and the Dodgers or Cardinals.

Do you have any pre-game superstitions or rituals? I wear my Batman Under Armour compression shirt under my pads.

What’s the best advice you’ve received before a game? “No matter what the outcome is, this is your team and your family. You guys have each other’s backs, you win together and you lose together.”

What’s your favorite sport to play besides football? Baseball.

What’s the one sporting event you wish you could attend in person? I would love to be able to see a Red Sox World Series Game 7 in Boston.

What’s the best book you’ve read? ‘Never Give Up’ by Tedy Bruschi about his stroke and his return to the NFL.

What is your dream car? Lamborghini Veneno

If you could throw to one receiver or tight end from the NFL in a game, who would you choose? A.J. Green of the Cincinatti Bengals
