Masconomet 3, Rockport 0: Jack Heintzelman scored on a direct kick and assisted on Masco’s two other scores (Justin D’Orlando and Kevin Gilbert) to lead the Chieftains to their 11th shutout of the season.
Beverly 3, Danvers 0: Kristen Abbondanza served well with 11 points and four aces to help Beverly prevail 25-23, 25-13, 25-23. Katherine Brown added two aces and Bridget Keaton had one while Hayley Finik came up with ten service points. Junior captain Kara Connors had nine points and seven kills for the Falcons, freshman Erin St. Pierre had seven digs and Julia McNulty had a strong game defensively.
Marblehead 3, Classical 2: The Magicians rallied to win the fourth set and the tiebreaker to win 25-22, 23-25, 19-25, 25-15, 15-9. Maeve Daly had 10 digs while Michaela LeBlanc also came up with 10 digs and added five aced. Jenny Norcross added seven kills for Marblehead (3-9).
Swampscott 3, Revere 1: Gina Asipenko had 11 kills and six aces to help the Big Blue (7-5) win 25-18, 25-19, 27-29, 25-20. Louisy Cim had five kills and three aces and middle blocker Taylor Irwin played well on defense and Faye Liakopoulos had 23 assists.
Pingree 3, Beaver 1: The Highlanders came through with 25-14, 25-14, 19-25, and 25-18 wins. Hanna Stasiuk had eight kills and two aces while Gabby Assad added seven kills for Pingree (3-7).
Peabody 3, Salem 0: Carolyn Scacchi had 10 kills and three aces to help the Tanners to a 25-19, 25-17, 25-13 win. Ali Gottsegan added 14 assists and Courtney Bua came through with two kills, one ace and outstanding defense for Peabody (12-0).
Phillips Exeter 4, Pingree 1: Quinn Anderson scored an unassisted goal for Pingree and goalie Kelsey Dion played well for the Highlanders.
Swampscott 2, Everett 0: Annie Kane scored what proved to be the game-winner off a pretty set-up by Tori Thistle and Tessa Beane. Victoria Himaras also added an unassisted tally as Swampscott (8-2-1) picked up its eighth straight victory.
Danvers 2, Peabody 0: The Falcons got goals from Katherine Leonard and Anna O’Neill on assists from Rachel Trocchi and Raquel Leslie to move to 8-3-1. Nicole Kamens also played well in the midfield for Danvers.
