LITTLE LEAGUE FALL BALL
The final sign-ups for Salem Little League fall ball will be held tonight Forest River Park, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. This will be the last chance to guarantee a spot for the fall season. The program will run for six weeks starting on Sept. 7. The cost is $40. This is for ages 9-12 before April 31, 2011.
BASEBALL
The Hit Zone in Swampscott has announced that fall baseball for players ages 8-18 will be held beginning on Sept. 11. The games will be played on weekend for six weeks. For more specific information, call 781-592-4487 or go online at www.the-hit-zone.com

Peabody Youth Hockey is looking for hockey players and children looking to learn the game of hockey and have some fun for the 2010-2011 season. There are openings at all levels: Mite Instructional (new skaters/players) thru half-season Midgets. Lynn Youth Hockey will be starting its Mite In-House hockey program on Saturday, Oct. 2, at the Lynn Rink. The program will be conducted every Saturday at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m., followed by a game every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. The program is for boys and girls from ages 5 to 8. The program costs $250 with no travel involved for games. If interested in signing up your son or daughter for this program, contact Kevin Clougherty or Al Donovan at 781-589-9075. A few slots remain for the Neighborhood Legal Services' second annual tournament at Andover Country Club on Monday, Sept. 13. Shotgun scramble start at 1:30 p.m. Registration is $225.
