WOMEN'S COLLEGE SOCCER
endicott 2, umass dartmouth 0: Sophomore Caitlin Peters was outstanding on both ends of the field, setting up two goals and helping shut down the UMass Dartmouth attack in the Green and Blue's home opnener. Alexandra Sutter scored to open the second half on a rebound off a Peters' shot and then Danvers native Kayla Corbett followed up three minutes later capitalizing on another blocked shot by Peters heading the ball into the back of the net to give the Gulls (1-0-1) the two-goal win.
Salem State 2, WPI o: Junior Karly Henderson's of Salem found the back of the net in the 17th minute on an assist from Danvers' Jackie Gauthier as the Vikings improved to 1-0-1. The Salem State defense was tremendous allowing just one shot on goal the entire game.
Gordon 4, Southern Maine 1: Sophomore midfielder Caitlin Nedde had the golden foot Satuday netting three goals to lead the Scots to its second straight win to open the season. Elisabeth Cheesman added the final Gordon goal on a beautiful, curling shot that found the top left corner of the net from 25 yards out.
WOMEN'S COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL
Endicott wins pair: The Gulls (3-1) dropped the opening game, 3-1, to MIT but went on to edge North Central, 3-1, and then dominate Muhlenberg. 3-0. to complete the weekend. Ashley Norley and Brittany Phillips earned all-tournament honors for the Green and Blue.
Vikings Drop two: After besting the host Huskies 3-2 in the opening match, Salem State was swept 3-0 in consecutive bouts with Mass Maritime and the University of New England to fall to 1-2. Angie Gonzalez had nine service aces to lead the Vikings in the opening match.

Plymouth St. 1, Gordon 0: Matt Horth had two late scoring chances for Gordon but couldn't convert as the Scots dropped to 0-2.
WOMEN'S COLLEGE TENNIS
Endicott 9, Regis 0: Kerri Dunn (Middleton), a former standout at Masconomet High School, was one of five Gulls to earn a pair of wins for Endicott (1-0) which took its first game of the season in dominating fashion. Dunn cruised 6-0, 6-2 in third singles and then teamed with Emily Annis to take second doubles 8-1. Annis, Kate Cioffi, Laura MacLeod and Kristen DiFillipo also recorded two wins each while Beverly native Gina Pinciaro and DiFillipo won 8-4 at third doubles.
COLLEGE FIELD HOCKEY
Endicott 3, Plymouth St. 1: Hannah Thornberg tallied a pair of second-half goals to spark a come-from-behind victory for Endicott (1-1). Freshman Stacie Teevens added the insurance goal late in the game for her first collegiate score while sophomore goalie Taylor Teixeira made eight saves.
Wellesley 2, Gordon 1: Heidi Lavigne tipped Melinda Fowler's shot attempt up into the top corner of the net for the lone Gordon (0-2) goal.
