Raquel Kops-Jones and Coco Vandeweghe combined in women's doubles to defeat Sarah Borwell and tennis superstar Martina Hingis, 1-0, in a supertiebreaker to give the Boston Lobsters an 18-17 victory over the host New York Buzz in World TeamTennis action last night.
Kops-Jones also combined with Eric Butorac in mixed doubles to defeat Hingis and Scoville Jenkins, 5-0. Butorac then paired with Jan-Michael Gambill to prevail at men's doubles, 5-3, over Jenkins and Alex Domijan.
Gambill also had a win for the Lobsters (now 3-5) at men's singles, securing a 5-2 victory over Jenkins.
NORTH SHORE HOOP LEAGUE
Danvers 54, Wakefield 22: Kellie Macdonald poured in 22 points to pace Danvers and Sarah Palazola added 16.
Ipswich 32, Beverly 30: Rachel Davis led Ipswich with 15 points while Jen Ashton paced Beverly with eight.
Lynnfield 44, Manchester Essex 27: Kelsey Mancini paced Lynnfield with 15 points. Ella Stearns had 10 for Manchester Essex
Bishop Fenwick 40, Beverly 20: Lauren Moulton and Maura Doyle each had eight points for Bishop Fenwick. Ashton had 10 for Beverly.

Hamilton-Wenham 3, Cape Ann 2 (8 innings): Pat Hendrickson had an outstanding night allowing just one earned run in eight innings, while striking out seven to earn the win. Hendrickson worked himself out of a huge jam in the top of the eighth inning, forcing a fly out to third base to end the inning after Cape Ann loaded the bases with one out. Billy Martin had a big RBI double in the fifth to tie it at 2-2 while Jared Kefalas singled to opposite field scoring Hendrickson for the game-winning run.

North shore navigators 5, bristol collegiate 3: Daniel Duval, who was the third of five pitchers used by the team, earned the win for the Navs last night in the New England Collegiate Baseball League. Duval pitched three innings of hitless all and struck out one, lowering his ERA to 2.73 for the season. Jason Banos went 4 for 4 to pace the Navs offense.
