A few slots remain for the Neighborhood Legal Services' second annual tournament at Andover Country Club on Monday, Sept. 13. Shotgun scramble start at 1:30 p.m. Registration is $225. WORKSHOPS

Endicott College and NETA, a nonprofit fitness professional association, are co-sponsoring two nationally recognized fitness workshops. The first will be a Group Exercise Instructor certification workshop designed for individuals interested in teaching in a group setting. It will be held Saturday, Sept. 25, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and no college, science or teaching background is required. The second will be a "Kick It Up" workshop that will cover the basics of traditional cardio kickboxing. The workshop will be held Sunday, Sept. 26, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is a CEC workshop for certified instructors only. Both events will be held at the campus Post Center. RUNNING

The Coastal 5K Run for the Beach is set for Sunday, Sept. 12, at Lynch Park in Beverly, beginning at 10 a.m.. The $25 entry fee is tax-deductible. Proceeds benefit Salem Sound Coastwatch Adopt a Beach program, a local nonprofit environmental orginazation working to keep beaches and coastal waters clean. CHEERLEADING

WEB RADIO FOOTBALL

The MSO (moorestuffonline.com) webcasts of high school football on the North Shore will begin this weekend. The opening game of the season will pit Swampscott at Gloucester on Friday, Sept. 10, at 7 p.m. The following day, Sept. 11, MSO will do the Concord-Carlisle at Beverly game at 1 p.m.

BASEBALL
