BOYS TRACK

Last season: 5-4

Head coach: Marty Binette (1st year)

Key returnees: J.T. Romano, Sr., 600/4x4 Relay; Robby Fay, Sr., High Jump/300/4x4 Relay; Nick Mamolette, Sr., 600/1000; Brendan Sweeney, Sr., Shot Put; Alex Jean-Charles, Jr., Sprints/High Jump; Ryan Bahar, Jr., Hurdles; Michael Riddle, Jr., Distance

It’ll be a great season if: “Our top athletes perform as they have in the past, and a couple of other contributors emerge from our depth,” Binette remarked. “We have over 50 athletes out for the team, so a key will be finding a diamond in the rough who can score.”

GIRLS TRACK

Last season: 9-1

Head coach: Gardy O’Flynn (5th year)

Team captains: Hannah Steele, Sr., High Jump/Sprints; Sarah Keiran, Sr., 1,000/Mile/Two Mile; Tina Keiran, Sr., 1,000/Mile/Two-Mile

Other key returnees: Becca Goulet-Martel, Sr., Hurdles/ Courtney Long, Sr., Shot Put; Celia Zampitella, Sr., Shot Put; Jill Calvani, Jr., 300; Devin Smith, Jr., 300

It’ll be a great season if: “We find some diamonds in the rough early this season,” O’Flynn said. “We have a very good group of seniors who are committed to indoor track and are talented, but our top 300-400 runner, (junior) Hannah Wallis, tore her ACL in soccer and is out for the year.”
